Laurence Delplace

I have been immersed in the tunnelling industry since I graduated from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Beginning my journey at Herrenknecht, I gained invaluable experience in customer interaction, international dynamics, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Driven by my desire to broaden my expertise, I started working at Amberg Engineering, a Swiss-based engineering firm specializing in tunnelling and underground spaces. Here, I embarked on a journey that saw me progress from Project Engineer to Project Manager and Regional Manager. Each step in this progression honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the industry.

Now, as CEO of Amberg Engineering, I am entrusted with steering the company’s strategic direction and overall management together with a strong executive management team. My responsibilities encompass driving business growth, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch engineering solutions. I manage daily operations, cultivate client partnerships, and champion initiatives aimed at solidifying Amberg’s position as an industry leader.

I am deeply passionate about the tunnelling sector; the projects we undertake are not only awe-inspiring but also immensely complex. From my early days as a Project Engineer to now leading the company as CEO, I have been proud to make significant contributions to this field, leveraging hard work, innovative thinking, and an unwavering drive to propel us towards the connected cities of the future.
