Gösta has more that 50 years international experience of major civil engineering projects. The latest some 30 years he has mainly been involved in underground construction both, such as tunnels and large rock caverns, as designer, contractor and Owner’s representative.

During his career, Gösta has developed a strong interest in risk management and the particular challenges when working under ground. As a result of this, Gösta was appointed as member of the FIDIC/ITA task group TG10, having the responsibility to develop the new FIDIC Emerald book, published 2019, a standard contract for underground works. The Emerald book allows for balanced and well-structured sharing of ground related risk in construction contracts both regarding time and cost.
