Elena Chiriotti

Elena Chiriotti is graduated in Civil Engineering from the Politecnico of Turin, Italy, and has obtained a PhD in rock mechanics in 1997. After spending 11 years at Geodata, Italy, engineering company specialized in the design and construction supervision of underground works, she joined SYSTRA, France, in 2007 where she remained until 2015 as director of Tunnels and Underground Structures Department, managing a team of up to 70 engineers.

Since December 2015, she is the co-founder and CEO of INCAS Partners, consulting company based in Paris and acting internationally in the domain of technical, strategical and contractual issues related to underground works.

Elena is an active member of AFTES and ITA and she participates in several national and international working groups writing preparing guidelines and recommendation on underground works. Since 2016, she is the animator of ITA Working Group 2 – Research.
